Translucent cat ears - PROTOTYPE

I'm currently developing translucent ears that look like plain animal ears in normal light, but are translucent and veined with strong backlighting.
This is my first completed pair. The translucency is present but not as strong as I would like it to be. Held up to a lamp you can see the veining well.
This would be a lovely pair of ears for someone who'd like to own a piece of my research process - or alternately, someone who just wants a cool pair of realistic white cat ears that happen to have a bit of a cool hidden feature!

These are built on dyed transparent thermoplastic with tinted 3D gel veining. Inner is felt and the outer is faux fur. The inner ear fluff is NFT faux fur. The fur/felt edges are blended with hand-laid fibres.

These ears are attached with wig clips and have a series of anchor points for bobby pins at the back - check the last picture to see the base of the ear clearly.
