Forest faun deer headpiece - summer

This is a handmade forestal faun headpiece I made using a combination of traditional wirework millinery and cosplay techniques.
The base is hand sewn millinery wire and sized to fit a 58cm head (22.8" approx.). The ears are thermoplastic bases covered in faux fur, attached to the frame with felt and buckram. The antlers are sculpted in super lightweight foam clay over a millinery wire core, painted with acrylics and sealed with gloss varnish. Faux leaves are sewn individually to the frame to create the leaf crown and the structure wrapped with florist's tape to protect the stitching and for wearer's comfort. Handled with care this piece should last a long time.
